Sublimation
All-over, edge-to-edge printing with colors that become part of the fabric. Perfect for jerseys, activewear, and bold full-garment designs.
Sublimation is a decoration method where dye is transferred into polyester fabric using heat and pressure. Unlike surface printing, sublimation dye actually becomes part of the fabric at a molecular level. This creates permanent, vibrant prints with no texture or feel — the garment remains soft and breathable while displaying your full-color design.
Minimum Order: Sublimation requires a minimum of 50 pieces per order.
Vibrant, Permanent Colors
Sublimation produces incredibly vibrant colors that won't crack, peel, or fade because they're embedded in the fabric itself. The process allows for all-over printing — your design can cover the entire garment from edge to edge, front and back. There's no print layer to feel; the fabric stays lightweight and breathable, making sublimation ideal for athletic wear and performance apparel.
Polyester Required
Sublimation only works on polyester or polyester-coated materials. This is a technical requirement of the dye process — the dyes bond with polyester fibers specifically. Cotton and natural fibers cannot be sublimated. If you need printing on cotton, consider our other services like screen printing, DTG, or AccuPrint.
Competitive for All-Over Designs
Sublimation requires a minimum order of 50 pieces. This minimum reflects the specialized nature of the process. Pricing is competitive for all-over designs where screen printing would be impractical due to the number of screens needed. For polyester apparel with full-coverage designs, sublimation often provides the best value.

Frequently Asked Questions
Sublimation has a firm minimum of 50 pieces. This minimum allows us to run the process efficiently and provide competitive pricing.
The sublimation process relies on dyes that bond with polyester fibers at a molecular level when heated. Natural fibers like cotton cannot accept these dyes. For cotton printing, we recommend screen printing, DTG, or AccuPrint.
No. Because the dye becomes part of the fabric rather than sitting on top, there's nothing to crack or peel. Sublimated prints are permanent and maintain their vibrancy through washing.
While sublimation can technically do smaller designs, its strength is in all-over printing. For logos or partial prints on polyester, AccuPrint may be more cost-effective. Sublimation shines when you want full-garment coverage.
Sublimation produces some of the most vibrant colors available in garment decoration. The colors appear rich and saturated, and there's no surface texture to dull the appearance.
Sports jerseys, athletic wear, performance shirts, and fashion items made from polyester are ideal. We can provide polyester blanks or work with approved polyester garments you source.
Wash in cold water, tumble dry low or hang dry. The prints are extremely durable, but like all athletic wear, avoiding excessive heat extends the garment life.
